Classical Gala West is one of the premier organizations in the American West presenting concerts, festivals and educational events. A division of LTCGS (Lake Tahoe Classic Guitar Society), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, ID 20-1754458 organization and donations may be tax deductible. Donations may be made specifically for any geographic area where we present concerts, scholarships for competition prize winners, and to support our overall programs.

Prizes, Division I: 1st - $300, 2nd - $200, 3rd - $100

• Youth divisions are open to performers 18 years old or
younger as of the first day of the competition.

• Time limits:
Youth Division I (ages 15-18) - Seven minutes
Youth Division II (ages 14 and under) - Seven minutes

• Competition is for performance on six string Classical Guitar

• Free choice program, one round

• Choice of repertoire is entirely up to the performer. A competitor may perform the same or different music in all rounds without penalty. It is expected that every competitor's choice of music fits within the time allowed for each round. If a competitor exceeds the given time allotted, he or she will be asked to stop but at no penalty to his or her evaluation.

• Competitors will be evaluated on technique, musicianship, and overall presentation.

• Competitors may inquire for judges’ comments only after the competition has ended. Upon such requests, sharing comments with performers is at the sole discretion of the judges.

• Competitors may only compete in the division that corresponds with their age.

• All decisions of judges are final.
